PhD Student Gongda Yu presented his research on driving anxiety in younger adults at the annual ITS-NY conference in Saratoga Springs, NY in June 2025.
Jimin Shin presented his poster on Bicycle to Everything research that he has been instrumental in developing within TRAVL at the 21st annual Undergraduate Student Showcase in April 2025.
In February, Dr. Angulo visited the Universidad Technologica de Panama's Civil Engineering Department to discuss collaboration, research, study abroad, and graduate student opportunities! It was wonderful to speak with the students and faculty at UTP and learn about their research in transportation. A special thanks to Ramiro Vargas, a UB alum, who invited Dr. Angulo to UTP!
Thanks to Michigan for selecting UB and TRAVL as the first round recipients to gain access to Mcity 2.0's capabilities! 🚶♀️ "Investigation of multi-agent interactions including human drivers and micro-modalities with connected automated vehicles (CAVs)" plans to conduct multi-agent testing and verification of CAV operations inclusive of human driver and vulnerable road user modalities. The team includes Chaozhe He, Austin Angulo, Irina Benedyk, and Kevin Hulme, Ph.D., CMSP.
Dr. Angulo and Ye Wang travelled on Honoulu to present their poster "Understanding Bicyclist Behavior and Perception of B2X Advanced Warning Messages within Virtual Reality" for the 2024 AHFE International Conference.
